Qualified findings

Scope, confidentiality and lawful methods
The assignment should identify the legitimate purpose, people or entities involved, the authority to instruct and the lawful sources or methods that may be used. Requests are assessed before acceptance.
Reporting distinguishes verified findings from allegations, unresolved questions and limitations. No outcome, recovery, court acceptance or access to a restricted record is guaranteed.
We do not offer account hacking, unauthorised interception, covert device access, impersonation of officials or unlawful access to private records. Sensitive documents and personal information should be shared only through an agreed secure channel.
What to include in the initial brief
- Your name, organisation and authority to request the work.
- The specific question to answer and the legitimate purpose of the enquiry.
- Relevant names, business details, location and a short factual background.
- The decisions the report will support and any deadline.
- Available consent, authority, relevant records and limitations on access.
Start with a concise summary. We will advise how to share sensitive documents after the scope and handling arrangements are agreed.
How investigation fees are agreed
Fees depend on the questions, locations, sources, field time and reporting requirements. The quotation defines deliverables, authorised methods, expenses, any third-party record costs and the point at which additional work requires approval.
A result that is inconclusive can still involve completed work and incurred costs. Payment and cancellation terms should address this explicitly.
How the assignment is arranged
-
Assess the request
Clarify purpose, authority, conflicts, legal constraints and the research questions.
-
Agree the scope
Set permitted methods, deliverables, budget, reporting and confidential handling.
-
Investigate & report
Carry out the authorised work and report findings with sources and limitations.
How long does an investigation take?
Timing varies with source availability, travel, consent, access and the complexity of the questions. A reporting date or update schedule is agreed for the accepted scope. A deadline does not remove legal or evidential limits.
Questions before you book
Will every check produce a conclusive answer?
No. Records can be incomplete, sources unavailable and access restricted. The report should identify what was verified, what remains unconfirmed and why.
Can you trace or verify a person?
A request may be assessed where there is a legitimate purpose and lawful authority. We review the circumstances and permitted methods before deciding whether it can be accepted.
Will my enquiry be confidential?
We limit handling to the agreed purpose and authorised recipients, subject to legal obligations. Initial email and WhatsApp use third-party services, so agree a secure channel before sending sensitive material.
Can a report be used in court?
Tell us at the outset if litigation is contemplated. Evidential requirements, source access and any affidavit or witness work must be scoped separately; admissibility is for the court.
